”How to dismantle the world (and feel good about yourself in the morning)”
Verge Gallery
All free, all welcome
Emma Pham, How to dismantle the world (and still feel good about yourself in the morning), 2025.
Exhibition Launch
Thursday 5 February, 6-8pm
Verge Gallery
The world is going nowhere promising, fast. Is it possible to turn things around...by tearing everything apart? This is the question that sits at the heart of How to dismantle the world (and still feel good about yourself in the morning), the first collaboration between Verge and PULP Magazine of 2026.
Join Verge in celebrating the launch of How to dismantle the world..., featuring six artists and ten writers, who encourage us to find the balance between challenging the world around us and engaging in the deconstruction of social systems and politics, without becoming disheartened or defeatist.
Food and drinks provided at the launch.

Drop in to the very first Arts Precinct at 2026 Welcome Fest to find out How to dismantle the world (and still feel good about yourself in the morning) with Verge and PULP! The wild birds are also taking over this Welcome Fest! Get those survival kits at the ready and keep your eyes peeled for the pesky giant Cassowary and Bush Turkey as they try to overtake campus (and maybe the world???), roaming the streets of Welcome Fest and leaving havoc in their wake.
The Great Post-Apocalyptic Debate
Thursday 5 March, 5:30-7:30pm
Verge Gallery
The world as-we-know-it has ended. Pockets of humanity yet survive. Rival groups jockey for resources and influence, each with their own vision for how human civilization should be rebuilt.
You, part audience member, part apocalypse survivor, must decide between two teams of artists and writers and their competing proposals for a novel post-mageddon society.
It’s a doomsday dialogue. It’s a cataclysmic conversation. It’s The Great Post-Apocalyptic Debate.
Teams to be announced.
The Great Debate is an ongoing Verge Gallery program which reimagines the USU's debating society origins from a playful, contemporary art lens.
Snacks and drinks provided.
