Experience a vibrant taste of Southeast Asia at this exciting evening food event celebrating the launch of Dismantle / Assemble by Cindy Yuen-Zhe Chen. Artists Phuong Ngo, Marikit Santiago, Jayanto Tan and Cindy Yuen Zhe Chen share their favourite dishes, inviting you to explore the rich flavours of their cultural backgrounds.

Enjoy delicious Filipino treats like silvanas and ube sweets, Indonesian and Malaysian Peranakan finger foods, comforting Chinese dishes and an array of Vietnamese snacks. Come along to try new flavours, hear the stories behind the dishes, and connect in a warm, festive atmosphere.

An atmospheric evening performance will begin at 7pm with Dr Nicholas Ng and students from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. A composer, performer and Associate Lecturer, Dr Ng is renowned for his innovative work with the erhu [a traditional Chinese bowed string instrument], exploring fresh ways to connect contemporary sound with ancient traditions. This special performance responds to the exhibition Dismantle / Assemble, weaving music with themes of intergenerational cultural memory, diasporic experience and migrant communities.

Join us for an inspiring, immersive event where sound and art come together to create new conversations and creative possibilities for students and audiences.
