Artist Statement

What Remains brings together two bodies of work exploring memory through photographs, old objects, and familiar forms. Using printmaking and painting, the project considers what remains after time has passed, and how traces of childhood, family, and everyday life continue to shape personal memory and identity. 

Using screen printing and found photographs, Marks of Time explores memory as indelible imprints. It weaves fleeting moments into tangible traces, reflecting on how the past continues to shape our present. 

Shapes We Keep explores childhood through familiar everyday objects. Inspired by toys, paper planes, puzzles, and milk cartons, the works reflect on a time shaped by curiosity rather than worry. These ordinary forms become lasting carriers of memory, preserving personal experiences and emotions beyond childhood. 

Verge Projects is a platform that aims to strengthen the University of Sydney community and networks through on-campus art activations. Verge Projects delivers community engaged projects led by and in collaboration with student and student groups. Stepping outside of art faculties and spaces, this program encourages inclusive and creative experiences campus wide.
